There's a Reason it's on the Mannequin

You know when you walk into a store and you see something on a mannequin and you're like, 'that's gonna look so good on me!' 


Well.. you know when you don't.   When all you see is an unprepossessing garment that you can't see anyone in their right mind actually wearing.


       This is a tribute to those moments...


Example #1:

 hmmm... note to the stylist, adding a droopy plaid scarf and a hat that resembles a piece of coal isn't gonna help you sell the abominable onesie.


And then there's this:

And thus was born the acronym WTF.  I mean honestly it looks like Picasso took some oil pastels and got into it with a cave man. 


Hopefully this can remind us of a shopping golden rule :
If it looks good on a mannequin, there is a possibility that it could look good on you.  
If it looks bad on a mannequin, you're not in luck.  
If it resembles either of the two pictures featured in this post walk away but first snap a pic and send it to iconoclastcouture@gmail.com
